Sant Jordi (II) The Pleyel of Granados

On the other hand, Sant Jordi means to me the only chance per year to access to the historical Pleyel of Enrique Granados. Secured in the Biblioteca de Catalunya, it is only available for the public in special occasions, like today, Open Day because of St. Jordi.

I suddenly began to understand better Pleyel, which I didn't appreciate before. I have discovered today that mysterious FRAIL sound - so often in recordings of Cortot and S. François (my favorite pianist for Chopin)... Short though round, transparent and dexterous like a butterfly's wings...

I don't know if such quality is a common feature of the mark, as I have never had experience on any other modern Pleyel, but this one does show an innate smell to the "French", apart from recalling to a remote era - the piano is of the year 1911, as a gift to Granados by the Pleyel family.

So lucky I felt, and happy to know that I am welcome back for another year : )
