Grande Auditório - Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation

Great acoustics, just GREAT in spite of a normally huge space...

The best recital place I have been to till now! Feeling so lucky with Schubert there!

And it looks even humble from outside. One would never expect such quality!

PS. A curious thing is that seating rows are numbered inversed, e.g. Row 31 is the one next to the stage @_@

PPS. Located in a very beautiful, natural and large garden, you can even expect an insect to jump onto the keyboard interrupting thus a recital >.<

2. Halle aux Grains - Toulouse

Lovely and very wisely designed with good use of an historical space. Audience experience better than imaged. The only weak point is the shortage of toilets.
